Amy TerMarsch
Amy TerMarsch is the CEO and principal designer behind her multidisciplinary design firm, Amy Elizabeth Designs (AED). She’s a trusted expert with nearly two decades of experience. Amy founded the firm in 2012 as a full-service, upscale design studio specializing in creating luxury spaces. Her collaborative approach brings together leading trades with exceptional design to craft timeless spaces. Through her deeply personal design approach, Amy has crafted AED into one of the fastest growing firms in the Metro Detroit area.
With every project, Amy and her team get to know the client and to ensure that every space is reflective of the client’s style. Amy’s eye for luxury and functional design has made her a trusted design voice for residential and commercial clients across the Midwest and throughout the country. From intimate residential properties to comprehensive commercial spaces, Amy’s work embraces connection and community at every corner. Amy firmly believes in spaces and values that last.
Amy grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. From this rich family history, she learned a keen understanding of client service and project management. She understands that great design must also be on-time and on-budget. With these roots, she has built a design career that is respected throughout the industry.
She is also an award-winning creator, recently recognized by the Detroit Design Awards. Additionally, Amy has been featured in Architectural Digest, Better Homes and Gardens, Furniture Lighting and Décor, Hour Detroit and Detroit Home. She is also a national speaker and has recently taken on a role as an educator, sharing a wealth of knowledge with aspiring young designers as a sought-after business coach.
Amy enjoys spending time outside of work with her husband, Jim, to whom she has been married for 26 years. They have three daughters who are launching their own careers. The family resides in Oakland Township.

Melissa is a seasoned luxury interior designer with 18 years of experience in the field. Throughout her career, she has worked on a variety of high-end residential and commercial projects, consistently delivering exceptional results. Melissa's approach to design is holistic, considering every aspect of her clients' needs and lifestyles. She stays current with design trends and innovations, ensuring her work remains fresh and relevant making her a respected name in the world of luxury interior design.
She is an expert in managing the entire design process and will be the leader throughout your project. Melissa will attend your Project Kickoff meeting, take measurements, engage in our “Idea Session,” create 3D renderings, floor plans, attend presentations, conduct walkthroughs and be in constant contact with you throughout the entire project.
Once she has set up communication with you, she'll be your best point of contact for all questions regarding the design process.

Katie is a designer who loves finding the sweet spot between creativity, functionality, and thoughtful details. With a background in kitchen, bath, and basement design, she understands how purposeful choices can transform not only the look of a space, but also the way it feels and functions every day.
She especially enjoys the design-build process and being part of a project from the first spark of an idea through the final details. Katie approaches each space with curiosity and intention, always keeping the people who will use it at the heart of the design.
From developing concepts and selecting finishes to planning and coordination, Katie helps bring clarity and consistency to every stage of a project. For her, the most rewarding part is seeing an idea come to life as a space that feels personal, lasting, and true to its purpose.

As Studio Manager at AED, Leah Reblin brings an extensive background in client-focused careers, along with a strong passion for organization and creating seamless experiences.
With over two decades of experience spanning professional assistance, project management, marketing, graphic design, and strategic development, Leah offers a versatile skill set and a highly organized, solutions-oriented approach. She has built her career around her love for all things administration and loves working with people to help bring their vision to life.
As Studio Manager, Leah is the connection point between our clients, design team, vendors, and trade partners. She oversees the communication, scheduling, and day-to-day coordination that keeps each project moving forward with intention. Behind the scenes, she manages the many details that create a seamless client experience allowing our designers to remain focused on the creative vision while ensuring nothing gets lost along the way.

MAKAYLA Daughenbaugh

Makayla is a senior Interior Design student at Lawrence Technological University with a passion for creating spaces that are both functional and meaningful.
As President of the LTU Student IIDA Michigan Chapter, Makayla brings organization and attention to detail to the AED design studio, where she will continue developing skills, gain hands-on experience, and learn from our team.
