A New Chapter

Welcome, design friends. I wanted to share some exciting news with all of you who I have worked with through Amy Elizabeth Designs. This has been a year of growing, learning and building. I’ve made a few changes and additions to my business. I’ve stepped back to reflect and chart a new course and I wanted to share this journey with all of you.

This past June marked 7 years of business for Amy Elizabeth Designs. The number 7 has been thought of as the number of “perfection.” And although we are far from perfect, we have grown in many amazing ways. I set out to take my business from “I” to “we” as I gathered and built a team of amazing professionals. We worked on creating spaces that were unique to each of you and your needs. We set out to design interiors where a lifetime of memories could be made; interiors that were safe havens to come back to after a long day out; spaces that told your story and explained who you were and what you loved. For us, “success” in each home was redefined as finding your home’s personality to fit you perfectly and helping to make life just a bit easier for you.

In these past 7 years of business, we’ve helped transform over 60 homes (and a few businesses). These projects were scattered all over Macomb and Oakland County; from doctors to lawyers, business owners to engineers, CEO’s to teachers and athletes. And that’s all thanks to you.

But we’re not stopping there. We want to continue to create beautiful, functional, livable spaces. Our goal is to build on the last seven years and continue to infuse beauty into all we do as we transform communities throughout Metro Detroit. And, most of all, we want you to join us on this ride!

With the launch of my new lifestyles and design blog we plan on doing just that – Sharing this journey with you. Our goal is to create a blog filled with tips, ideas, how-to’s, trends, new products and “shop this style” lists. Anything and everything design. Topics like:

· New trends coming out

· Our trips to High Point Market (the mecca of all things design)

·  Frequently asked questions from scores of clients over the years: Questions like: Is it ok to use two different cabinet colors in a kitchen? What lightbulbs work best in a space? How do I design within a budget? What are the best online shops to source from? Wallpaper…to use or not to use? How to design to maximize small spaces? and so much more.

The first blog launches next week. And our plan is launch a new post every month.
