Project Spotlight: A Lower Level Built for Fun, Flow & Everyday Gatherings
This walk-out basement was once dark, dated, and completely underutilized—but not anymore. We turned what felt like wasted square footage into a vibrant, multifunctional space that’s equal parts stylish and family-friendly.
Originally, a bulky bar sat smack in the center of the room, cutting off the natural light from the wall of windows and interrupting the flow. So, we cleared it all out—knocking down walls, rethinking the layout, and letting the space breathe.
The former bar found a new home at the far end of the room, where it now serves as a laid-back dining and entertaining zone—perfect for pizza nights, game days, or poolside parties. In its old spot, we added a sleek glass-enclosed wine bar under the stairs, letting light pass through effortlessly and creating a cool moment that’s equal parts functional and fun.
At the opposite end of the space, we anchored the room with a massive U-shaped sectional, made for movie nights, sleepovers, and overflow holiday seating. Behind it, a custom board and batten feature wall with a mounted TV adds texture, balance, and a polished focal point.
We didn’t stop there—new recessed lighting, updated fixtures, and luxury vinyl tile flooring throughout give the space a clean, fresh foundation that’s ready for anything. And just off the main living area, the bathroom got a full upgrade with new tile, a stylish vanity, and modern mirrors.
With the in-ground pool just steps away, this lower level was designed for fun, flexibility, and everyday life. It’s proof that smart design can make even the most forgotten corners of a home feel intentional, elevated, and full of potential.
